I had an absolutely great experience in Korea where I got to visit some of my friends over at the NCSoft headquarters. NCSoft is huge! It would definitely be cool to work in an environment like that some day. It's definitely the most impressive work environment I've seen yet
Japan was also fun, despite the constant rain while we were there. We checked out TGS, spent a few days in Nikko, and wandered around Tokyo for a bit. The rain really limited what we could do in Nikko, especially since I caught a cold around that time. Anyway, I now have a new favorite clothing outlet: Uniqlo! I've always been floored by the clothing prices in Japan (but to be fair, I was probably looking in all the wrong places), but Uniqlo's are actually affordable, and the clothes fit me better than what I can find here in the States. Too bad the only Uniqlo store in America is in New York :S
Things have been really busy since returning from the trip, but I spent most of this past weekend vegetating playing Aion and Dragonica. Aion's the only game I can think of where I'm constantly impressed with the Character art as I run around town. The faces and the hairs are amazing! I do wish they would paint a little more lighting and color variation into the diffuse though...
Dragonica has a nice, clean, simple art style that's a lot of fun to look at. I'm not sure how long I'll be playing it though, just because of the way they've set up the missions/instances.
At any rate, I'm hoping to post some new stuff soon (Provided I stop being so lazy after work)!

Do you have any tips for a budding 3D modeler and game designer?
